Olapeju Sofowora is one the founding Partners of Abax-OOSA Professionals (Chartered Accountants) specialising in Tax Consulting, Human Resources and Business Advisory Services. Her over thirty years’ experience began at Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) where she acquired her Audit Practice License.

She joined the Banking industry in 1990 and left as Head of Corporate Finance in 2000 to establish Sofowora & Co (Chartered Accountants) and in 2008 she brought into Abax-OOSA
Professionals over seventeen years of post qualification experience in Audit, Accountancy, Tax and Financial Advisory Service.

Olapeju is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of
Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. She obtained her
She is a result oriented professional and very passionate about Human Capital Development. Olapeju has
a number of publications on Tax to her credit which includes ‘A Guide to Taxation in Lagos: Streamlining
Taxation on various levels, a WIMBIZ Advocacy document and articles on Corporate Tax Reform in Nigeria,
publications in the Acquisition International Magazine. She runs seminars on Taxation and Enterprise Risk
Management amongst others to promote and enhance Corporate Compliance and Business Risk Management.
Olapeju serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of First City Monument Bank Group, she had served on the Educational Committee of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and as an Executive Committee Member of the Money Market Association of Nigeria.
Treasurer Dealership Certificate in 1999 and in 2002, passed the Certified Information Systems Auditor
Examination. She is a graduate of Statistics from the University Ilorin, Kwara State.
